Arianna Berto

RTDa, Assistant Professor

Arianna Berto is a Research Associate at the Department of Industrial Engineering, University of Padova (Italy). During her PhD in Energy Engineering, she was involved in the experimental and theoretical study of film condensation through innovative optical techniques. She participated in two European Space Agency (ESA) Parabolic Flight Campaigns, in 2018 and 2024, investigating the effects of variable gravity levels on condensation heat transfer. Her interests also include filmwise condensation and flow boiling heat transfer with pure refrigerants and mixtures, latent heat thermal energy storage systems based on phase change materials (PCMs) for low- and medium-temperature applications, as well as innovative solar thermal collectors operating with carbon-based nanofluids. Dr. Berto serves as a lecturer at the University of Padova, where she contributes to the courses of Renewable Energy Technologies and Applied Physics and Heat Transfer.
