Marco Azzolin

Marco Azzolin is Assistant Professor at the Department of Industrial Engineering, University of Padova, where he teaches Refrigeration and Heat Pump Technologies. His main research interests include the decarbonization of the industrial sector, heat pumps and dual-source hybrid systems, thermal energy storage, and the study of condensation and vaporization with natural and low-GWP refrigerants. He has been Principal Investigator of a PRIN PNRR project funded by the Italian Ministry of University and Research and he has also been involved in several European research projects, including Horizon and ESA programmes. In the ESA projects he has conducted three parabolic flight campaigns to investigate condensation heat transfer in reduced gravity environments. He is the inventor of a patent in Italy and Europe.
